Hey, Rexdacorum mentioned the way Arthurian Total War got around their land mass issue and I really like the way they did it by using a logo that was made inaccessible. img368.imageshack.us/my.php?image=m018so.jpgPerhaps designing your own logo to place in the vast pacific may be a way to get around the obvious land mass issue presented in this mod? I am at a point where I can begin to test the map I designed in game. I'll play around with land mass if it doesn't load and let you guys know how much more we need (if any) to make it work.

I have a rather dumb idea. And I warn you, it is dumb too. Could you have solid black textured land all around the outskirts of the real land defining the areas that the Indians we are representing sailed to? That way we could excuse it as historical accuracy and eliminate our problem. (Or would it just make it worse?) Vuk

I still say you make two seperate maps, at least if you only want to play a central american tribe, or south american.

Something like this may solve the problem. Could probably get away with adding more to the top. In the map preview area of the campaign map, we could then add a stylized directional arrow, sort of like something you would find on an old sailing chart.

i like that, but it has to expand a bit south, so the mapuche can be there.
Besides, if you dont expand it east (up), the problem of the huge amazonian area, which presented difficults due to regions number or accesibiloity, would be gone.....

Thank you meliritos Only need to see if it'll work. Here's what came of it. Still need to add cities and try it out in the game. But I wont be able to do that till Thursday night. I honestly don't even know if such an off sized map will work. Haven't read any where that it wont.

Thanks again meliritos
I feel I have the easy job compared to all the work you guys have been doing. I only wish I had more than two hours a night to work on this thing. I would rather be doing this than the tedium of my real world job at the moment.

Great Work, Rah'Majashan... Do you think we could further deform the map in order to have more land ?
