i see after the new buildins previews interest is warming up again in twcenter. perseus maybe you ask Rah how you can help t this point. the most important thing is if you undertake an assignement to have it ready by the time agreed upon by you and Rah i guess. Rah, friend, any news from the western front?

I had a problem downloading the files, connection issue just did it all on my work comp and brought the files home. So, I'm going to start with the Maya, tell me that this is all of them, please, tell me I don't have to do all the Maya again.
Also, I see other faction buildings on the email, are these all of them or should I be expecting more. I hesitate on doing more than the Maya if I'm to expect more buildings.
THat aside, I am working on getting the resources coded into descr_strat and I put in a 4 turn per year script. Still waiting for Jacob's traits but he did say I might not get them till July.

I am still with the Aztec Interface and buttons. I've taken extra time as I've vectorized most graphics for easier future use, and spent a good deal configuring the new computer and dealing with my ISP. I also have some modifications for the Aztec descriptions, the most important being native names for the remaining units, But I've not found someone fluent in Náhuatl to help out (Online dictionaries haven't helped much).

use names that already exist. ill try to find some for you, check also the ospey books i have put on the maIL ages ago in the files section.
Rah, if that tells you sth i am not touching buildings again. you should use the ones i sent you this time for every civ. i will not resize nor modify them again even a bit. i visit forums everyday, notify me of potential problems. copan, palenque and tlaxcalla lack of skins but once we get there i will sendthem to you. Also copan, paslenque, tlaxcalla have some old buildings in, when its time to do them you can exchange them easily by yourself its not a big issue.
i really wish we finish this thing during the summer

Let me know which unit names were changed, so I can adapt the unit descriptions.

The names I'm looking forward to translate are the generic ones, like "slingers", or "archers", ideally for all factions, but we'lll be needing someone with that knowledge (or a dictionary big enough), there's nothing of that yet. I will look for the books again Mel, good idea, though the books normally translate names of "special" units like "cuachiqueh". And for example I know a sling is a "temalatl" but have no idea how you say "sling-bearer", "stone-shooter" or something like that... it is a complicated language. I've expanded the unit descriptions however (Aztec only), adding details like the composition and native names of weaponry. Jacob, maybe we could compare the changes if we exchange files? I thought we could do the same for the other factions too, if something similar hasn't been done already.

Glad to see that everyone is still around.
I'll be putting in most of the buildings today. Will probably be all I do today. The next step will be the building cards and info cards. I'll have to redo many of the small UI cards, but I think we can keep the info cards.
I'll also need to know when the final descriptions are done so I can plug those files in. From now on, with text files, can you put a version # on them. So, the next description or trait file you put in the mail for me that I am to use just add _v1 like this - export_descr_traits_v1.txt (or however the name is) I'll edit the v# out to put into the data file, but keep all these in separate folders as well as back ups. Will just make my life easier.
Thanks guys.

Well Mel, I don't think the unit names part is something to be finished soon, having only focused on náhuatl without success... now imagine the deal with other languages. That is a more realistic goal for a future version, in the way Rah described. What can be done now are the more detailed unit descriptions, however I've never known the mod's mail. Could someone please PM me that info so that I can check Jacob's work out?
