I downloaded the ones you put on the email and posted some shots on both TWc and the Org. I don't know how much work I'll get complete in the rest of the week, but I re-did the climates and got the Jungle area to load, just need to remove the winter aspect of the climate type. This will mean making some changes to the Inca map, but that'll be easy enough. The important thing is, I need to do some more tests, but I think the jungle may now be heavily forested on the battle maps.
Keep those buildings coming and Perszeusz and Jacob keep us updated on your work and availability.

I'm afraid I can't be compare with meriliatl regarding activity or productivity for now. Unfortunately I'll need to take care of some things until the half of June. I'm really sorry. Never thought I would need to study that much

No worries Perszeusz, studying and school work takes priority over modding. We all have RL obligations that we must meet in order to continue this addicting hobby. We will still be working on this through the summer. But if you find the time to dabble in scroll designs and such, by all means, do so and send it to me.
Also, Murf, I've seen you around here. I've been playing the game a lot in order to test it and I really like the UI you created. I know you tried creating an Aztec one that didn't quite work, but do you think you could give it another shot? This would really help separate the two major cultures of the game.
In other news, I've been working with SgtJar on cleaning up the skins for the Aztecs. He has done quite a good job and we are working together, him doing the actual work, me giving him notes, on making them as good looking as we can get them. Now, all the units have faces and skin tone. The major thing we need to work out is seem lines on the skin and he says there is something wrong with the Caquichue (sp?) skin. I haven't had a chance to check it out myself, but I will let you know if it is an issue Mel.
Now I have a question for you guys.
Within the next few weeks I am hoping to have a Mayan settlement plan set completed along with new settlement plans and settlement bases with all the Maya buildings up to this point coded in as well as a test Tenochtitlan custom tile and a new climate working jungle climate set. I will then create a new mod folder for you guys to down load. Its the best way to back up the work.
The question is, should i be giving these mod builds version names? Like B.01 and B.02 and then this new one would be B.03 this way we can tell the builds apart?

i didnt know you had someone working on the skins, ouch!!! The weapons and other staff that gets alpha channels have a little alpha problem (thats is when they get the alphas) and i thought i should correct it when i would have finished the buildings.Anyway, send me the skins when you finish them and i will fix them on top of the skins
As for the cuachique, can you post images of the problem?

That's great to hear Murf. As I mentioned, we need at least one more UI for the Aztec, Tepanec, and Tlaxcalan factions. It would be better if the UI's have a uniform feel to them so could you bang out some designs?

If you guys have been following the buildings and settlements thread you'll see that Mel and I have been designing and building new settlement plans. Here's a quick peek at what to expect as we progress. I got a dense forest in the background, I'll need to change the trees. Also, I need to add more trees to the actual settlement so it looks like it all melds together.

So, I stipped out all the vanilla building information from the egyptian village settlement plan and it is now our Maya settlement plan. Here are two shots of what we have now. I will eventually replace all the trees and add more to the plan as well as move the buildings around a little bit. But, for the most part, this is the basic idea for the village settlement plan. Basic buildings layout randomly. There will also be a specific tree in the center of the town near which I might place a stone structure. From what I understand the Mayans believed this one tree to be the navel or axis of the planet. With its roots going down into their underworld and they would build their villages around them. Or something like that.

Rah check the mail, there is this building you wanted skinned in two ways, rather hastily made but it gives you an idea about my idea for buildings
