OK, thought I would post a little update since I've been scarce these last few days.
I have begun coding in the icons into all the apsects of the game inluding loading screen, faction selection, UI, turn change screen, and where ever else it needs to go. I then will add the faction symbols to the banners and adjust the banner colors to how we want them to look.
As I do this I will also be atttempting to edit the battle map rainforest ground type. Hopefully it will go smoothly.
Learing Leadership Skills is coding all of the units into the game for us. He says it should take him no more than a week or so. But then we will have to code them into the desc_strat and the tech trees to make them recruitable. During this time, hopefully Vuk can balance the units.
The skinning seems to be coming along nicely. I have no word on how many are complete and how many need to be completed, I just know that eventually I will become the bottle neck here as I will have to edit all the alpha channels and make a few face and skin tones. This is why I want to get all the icons and faction battle symbols in so I can focus on this.
The up side is, being that busy means we are getting close. There is a lot going on and it looks like we may actually get to play a game within the next month.
The only other thing I need to do from a mapping perspective is add several more provinces. However I don't think that should take me too long considering I made all of Ozzy's provinces in about 4 hours.

Thank you Rama. Look, you have enough work. Let me help you out with the skinning. Im willing to add texture, faces, and if someone has enough patience to teach me step by step how to do the alpha im willing to do that also for all the skins. That should rid you off of at least 15+ hours of work, and boost our mod's speed.

Once rah finishes the skins (hey when i finish them i will try to add the alpha channels, if thats saves you off trouble rah. It doesnt seem that difficult), i will do the unit cards and prepare the family portraits. I know that i have to get down to doing buildings but this i think will start from new year guys. I think if i work my ass off we can have the buildings in a month or so. Anyway, i will keep you updated on that. The Aztec skins are almost done, only a couple left. I have started in the meantime the Tlaxcallans. I will keep you updated on that too.

yes, they do. By the way Im changing the shields mapping for more realistic effect and i tried putting some alphas on o model. Can fili try this out in game to see if it works? I have left it on the mail, called test model-Meliritos. Please fili its urgent. If i get the way the alphas work then i can do them myself and save rah from a lot of extra work. Thanks

OK moving right along. we have started on the buildings. I have all the building descriptions and have tested coding in at least one new building with success. I am going to simply create a whole new EDB from scratch since in the end everything will be called something else.
I had problems trying to code the buildings into the battle map, but I may try to create a new new settlement plan if i can only figure out how the heck to read the dang things.
Moving right along da da da ta ta da da.....

Rah i put an updated building descritpions rar file in the mail. it contains all the descriptions and the building trees now. Notice only the change in the mine names, the mesoamerican didnt have mines

I got the building descriptions and read a bunch of tutorials on editing EDB and all the tricks you can do with it as well as what files I need to code in order to get the buildings in. I'm creating all new files via copy and paste and then editing them, this way I can't break the old working files. Then I will copy over our buildings one at a time and test. This way if there any problems I'll know where it is.
Other than that, I played both the Aztec and the Mixtec in long multi-turn and multi-battle (including sieges) campaigns and did not have the game crash on me at all. Whatever that barb infantry error was seems to have disappeared but I have not edited a single file regarding it, so I'm still not sure what it was. Thanks for your help Aradan.
I also saw that the unit cards will need to have an alpha put into them or we're going to have to redesign the UI. When you select to build a unit the card appears as a square in the unit build area that is a circle. I wont do anything with that until all the models have been skinned that we only do these alphas once.
It will probably take me all week to complete the building coding and then a bit to test it. After that our next step will be creating our own settlement plans. This will be the most difficult part I believe.
Depending on when Jacob completes his trait system (there's no rush man) it might be included in the next build. But right now the next build is going to be even less vanilla than the last and we will really see how our game is going to look. Game play aspects probably wont be installed until the 3rd build.

Rah i uploaded in the mail three vbanner carriers. The cuachiqueh can be a banner carrier for the elite troops, including the general. The heavy infantry as i called him can be the banner carrier for the rest of the infantry and the missile for the missile units. Try them out to see how they work ingame and we will decide how to go with the banners
