Yeah, we're trying to think of ideas for traits. One of his ideas was having some generals be more Intelligent, and learn certain traits easier than generals. We need some more historical information, though.

Alright, I have a question concerning the book that mel uploaded. It says "Normally the supreme council of four commanders were directly responsible for the army during campaign. Each fulfilled a different role in terms of organizing supply lines, planning the routes of march, devising battlefield strategy, and directing the actual attack."
Would it be possible to create something similar to Senate Positions for the Aztecs, only the people could have a place on the council? If so, we could create character traits like the ones in RTW to increase the attributes of generals who have them. Would it be possible to create something like that for multiple factions?

I haven't been able to do trait work the last 2 weeks, thanks to ridiculous amounts of school work. It doesn't look like this will improve in the near future. The trait system is far from finished, and SSJVegetatrunks seems to be inactive too(probably also due to school). If anyone with some traiting experience could help me out that would be great, SSJ is a far more experienced traiter then me, and implementing and testing complicated traits like the intelligence trait will take a long time for one person to do.

jacob, email me anything that you have done so far (no matter how little it is). I want to get the intelligence traits done, they're probably one of the most complicated traits we're going to have. I have also been busy with school, but I'll work on it when I can.

mel, we're not doing too well. Both jacob and I have been extremely busy.
Kenobi, wouldn't it work better with ancillaries, because then the player has more control over who has what position?

kenobi had stated that he will not be actively a member but he is offering counseling services. Its up to you guys, sorry to hear that we are not progressing. I guess we are not far from announcing this mod dead...

Stop that! Once I get my new computer I will be focusing on this full bore. Once the map loads I will move onto the next step of skinning. And then I'll do what ever else I need to do to keep this thing going.
Right now I can't help in this area because I know nothing about it. So long as people work as time allows it'll keep going.

What the hell are you talking about, mel? If you're just trying to make us work harder, stop. We're already working as hard as we can. If you actually think that, then something is wrong with your head. Look how far we already are with the mod. It's not like everyone's just going to quit.
It's not slow work that makes people quit, it's when some members of the mod start whining about it. This mod is going to get done. Time is the only question.
In order to speed up my part of the pre-release workable version of the game, I've decided to cut down on the levels of attributes. There will only be three levels of intelligence, two levels of "caring", and two or three levels of "sanity". I have also cut out the "Life Outlook" attribute. We can add more to these things in actual releases. Once those are finished, Then I will begin working on the Skill and Aspiration traits. There will also be very few Ancillaries in the pre-release.
I created a new thread in the coding forum, I'll post more detailed things about the trait system soon.
