Hope ya know I meant do disrespect there Mel I just happened to be checking out that thread when I started my rant and didn't know if you were too busy with the units and Richy with the buildings. I don't know where to find the original models but I'll do my best to find out. I think if you read the linked thread they talk about faces and such on one of the posts cause I honestly have no idea.

ahh ok ill check. You know, yes im busy, busy like hell. But i want this mod to come out and come out in a bang, so i will do anything and handle everything so as to get this mod done. Dont worry, no offense taken. In the beginning of the mod this remark may have offended me, but now i believe i have proved my dedication to the mod as my modelling skills. Anyway, there is a chance that i may come and work in L.A. so i want to be in good terms with ya!!!

thanks, but its team work. Murfios is dedicated, Fili too, Vuk has brought freshness to this forum, Rah'Majashan seems more than willing to help, your involvment has been precious whenever needed (only thing you got to be active all the time, like you do nowadays). But we certainly lack some coders...

Woot, LA!!!!. Give me a hollar when ya get here.
And I'll just say it since it came up again, I think we have a good core team. Every project goes through a lul between the shift from one aspect to another. Right now we have the modeling aspect under control, we will get the coding aspect there.

Wow, that is a commitment there Mel. But there are worse places to spend 3 - 4 years then in Southern California.
By the by, I edited the FE file for the Main menu screen to read: INCA Total War incase anyone wants it. With all the testing I do I was tired of seeing ROME pop up all the time.

Depends on what your definition of good is I suppose. Lets see, you got the beach, lots of beach. If your into physical fitness, it has a bunch of equipment you'll find just sitting there in the sand. That California weather, which means thr coldest it gets is like 50. And when its too hot in the city, its cooler on the beach. For lunch we sit out on what is know as the Prominade, a four block pedestrian and shopping area, and enjoy the sites. (By sites I mean girls).
Wednesday and Saturday there is a HUGE farmers market if your into cooking and want to stay organic (we are organic and health crazy out here) And if your more of a european pub fella, two of the best british pubs are in town and many many more are close by.
If you get tired of Santa Monica, most of LA's hot spots are close by, Venice Beach, Westwood, and the Santa Monica mountains are super close if yu just want to go on a hike and lose yourself. (Most people don't even realize that there's a 70mile mountain along the edge of the city.
On the other hand, it can get old. I personally get a little bored there sometimes, been working down there for 5 years. Good place to spend lunch and relax after work, but I'm more of an urban city boy with a nature kick. I like my bars, my art galleries, and little more variety in cultures, discovering historical aspects of the city, and when that becomes too much I head for the mountains, which luckily is only 20 minutes (on a good day) away.
The biggest thing I personally HATE about Los Angeles in general though is the lack of public transportation and the solid mass of metal the freeways have become since I moved out here 10 years ago.
Anyway, hope I painted a fair picture of it. Most people I know love it as though it were Eden. The prices for homes in Santa Monica average 800 grand and up. Apartments are around 2grand for a single, so everyone wants to live there.
I'm sure you'll find plenty to do out here. And besides, It's probably the best place in LA to watch the 4th of July fireworks.
OK, I rambled on a bit there. Let me know if you have any specific questions though.
