I have found several quotes already which I will post later.
As for diplomacy this is how it works. There are three sections to starting diplomacy, core, relationships, and original.
Core represents knowledge of a faction, whether it is only the most basic knowledge or very detailed it just shows that faction A "knows" faction B and feels a certain way about them.
Relationships represent direct contact and diplomatic dealings taking place at the start of the game. It is essentially the same as core but only applies to the factions that faction X has dealt with just prior to the game start or is dealing with at game start. This section is touchy as it can cause wars and alliances that shouldn't exist if the numbers are too drastic.
Original is the section where the actual treaties are. here is where you place official alliances and wars. Unfortunately that is all this section can do. A warning though, the alliances caused by this section are alliances that include military access and trade rights.
We will begin with the Incan Empire here. I need to know which of the factions listed above the Incans knew about, which they had dealings with, and which, if any, they are officially allied or at war with. Also, were the Incans at war with ANY of the "rebel" provinces around them or did they have peace with their non-faction neighbors?
By the way I love the concept of this mod guys! ;D

I'm not sure who the Inca knew, but for the quotes I'm pretty sure there is a topic already where people were listing quotes that they knew. You should be able to get some from there.

Thanks SSJ. I've seen those and I'll add them to the three I have already. I will post the code for that within the next couple of days.

Ok. Right now I'm not really doing much at all since I don't have any information on what traits and retinue to make, so I'm just practicing making random new ones in my normal Rome game. Maybe I'll do a bit of research myself, then ask everyone else which traits and retinue I should change, get rid of, or add.

Yeah, this whole area is a bit of a mystery to me. I have read a number of books about or that mention the Incas and their empire as well as its conquest by the spaniards, but compared to most of the team I know very little. Fortunately I am quite good at researching. I have expanded my knowledge quite a bit.

look at the geography and make things such as; climber or weak eye, ect Not sure I follow you Murfios... The first new quotes I have found. "Your emperor may be a great prince; I do not doubt it, seeing that he has sent his subjects so far across the waters; and I am willing to treat him as a brother. As for your pope of whom you speak, he must be mad to speak of giving away countries that do not belong to him. As for my faith, I will not change it. Your own God, as you tell me, was put to death by the very men He created. But my God still looks down on His children." Atahualpa, Inca Chief (On hearing Pope Alexander VI had declared Peru to be a possession of Spain.) "!Ama Sua, Ama Kjella, Ama Lllulla! - Don't lie, don't cheat, don't be lazy". "Quechua greeting during Inca times". Its not much but that's what two days work by a canadian has turned up. More will come with time, and definitley more that are more in spirit with the aspect of the game.

Wow. I am back from vacation and exams. Sorry I have been gone so long. right, back to work, faction coordinators please check the questions about diplomacy given above and respond here or send me a PM at the Total War forum. Particular importance on the Incan faction coordinator.
Edit* This might not get done for a bit as it seems our start date is currently unknown. As soon as we have a concrete start date then I can really get to work.

-Lautaro, Mapuche Leader, encouraging his troops in the Tucapel Battle, on Alonso de Ercilla's "La Araucana"

Sorry everybody. I'm back. I'm a little swamped at present but at least I'm back. Filibustera, there needs to be a translation for that last quote you posted and as Its a little long you might want to break it up or just pick the most important part. Those three dots, '... 'work well for jumping unimoportant sections of the text.

You could get 10 quotes out of that long quote.
