In fact very few of us have background in the area. Most off us probably never even saw a mayan/incan ruin (i live halfway across the world), but reading of books and movies made us becaming interested in the period.

Someone came up with the names as a joke and Mel and I took em on. I am personally from the US with absolutely no native american blood coarsing through my body and I struggle to even make myself understood in Spanish. I just have an interest in history and South American cultures.

I live in the US too, I am only a small part Native American (about 10%), and I don't speak much Spanish. However, I too am interested in History, and have been interested in Native American history ever since I played Age of Empires II.

I think there should be The Triple Alliance as a faction also.

When you are talking about the Triple Alliance you talk basically about the alliance between the Aztec City of Tenochtitlan, and the non-Aztec cities of Tlacopan, and Texcoco right? So whats wrong with having Aztecs and Tlaxcallans in the game and not their alliances?

I thought the Flower Wars were mostly fought between the Tlaxcallan's and the Aztec?

Yes, but the mixtec fought some kind of flower wars between themselves and other tribes, where the nobles were fighting eachother in some kind of ceremonial fights. It wasnt Flower Wars, but it was in the same spirit i suppose

So whats wrong with having Aztecs and Tlaxcallans in the game and not their alliances? The Triple Alliance, Purepecha, Huaxtec, Tlaxcala, Tepanec, and possibly Totonac. Yes, the Triple Alliance consisted of Tenochtitlan, Tlacopan, and Texcoco. It'd also give you the ability to make a special commander, Nezahualcoyotl.Maybe also, the Tepanec despot Tezozomoc. More units also ;D
