Great job on the research kukulza!!! Thanks, I do my best to help in what way I can. Besides, if I don't do reseach how can I make Yucatan Total War for MTW2? This barely scratches the surface of Mayans.... the mod I plan to make will be all about the Maya... city-states, politics, ethnic groups, pantheons, wars, etc. I'm glad you guys like what I have helped with so far, again, thank you

one thing though, i will change all the Ah tz'on endings to the Holkanob word because its sounds better to make them warriors than just hunters. No 9 will be only Ajaw, since we will use this model for general. His bodyguard can be the nakom kananob, which can be a unit and not a single man (captain). These are my remarks and i will implement them immediately to the Maya unit tree. Well done Kuk! Oh and i need the word for "PEASANT"

if thats what you feel is best....
H'och Winik = Harvest man closest thing to farmer/peasant that I found ...though many rural Mayan men were also part-time hunters so Ah tz'on would work too....

Why does it have to be close the RTW word peasant?

I meant the meaning of it. I want a word that means peasant as in villager or kinda citizen, not peasant as a farmer. Because i want to show that its the peasant-villager who takes up the most primitive of a weapon and fights to save his village and not the farmer.

the Mayan villager farmed and hunted in the wetter seasons, did civil services such as construction in the dry season, and was a militia warrior in the times of war....
that hunter, is a farmer, is a warrior, is laborer, and possibly a small-time merchant... depending on the year and his location... and age...
just a thought....

Its just that hunter has a certain meaning which those who dont know how the meso american native hunter acted, will think that a hunter is a hunter. Where as the word "peasant" i think has a wider meaning, the meaning of a civilian, who will hunt, farm and become a warrior whenever his country needs him
