I'll make due and at least I can edit files at work while waiting for renders.
Anyway, I got the computer home and now all I need to do is install the Windows OS. Well, first I need to buy the Windows OS, but I'll take care of that tomorrow.

I bought the OS system last night, but did not have the time to load it up. I will do this tonight. But I must say, I now have a sweet rig for graphic editing. A Giant work monitor with a 17" palet monitor, color correction tools, a Wacom tablet, and an additional laptop in case I need to do two things as once. I should also be able to have ITW loaded in one window and be able to edit skins and such in another then simply update. Hopefully this will make my life easier.

i know i'm spamming up my own thread here, but it sort of relates since I need a computer in order to finally complete the map.
I loaded Windows onto my iMac last night and everything seems to be working just fine. I tested the graphics card by loading up Morrowind, since it is graphic heavy from the start, and OMG is it beautiful!!!! I sat there for about 15 minutes just staring at the clouds moving, the water rippling, and the detail on the soldiers and skins. Tonight I will load up RTW, test out a game, then, time permitting, put my Inca files back in order.
Right now I just need photoshop for Windows. I have it on my mac, but it will be more efficient if I can do all the work without having to transfer file back and forth on my thumb drive. I will also need to DDS plug in and TIME.
My goal is to get away from time by creating some base mapping files which I can use to create any new maps and simply add to instead of having to edit the vanilla files every time I want to create a new map. This wont really help Inca at the moment, but I don't intend for Inca to be my last foray into mapping.
Well, there's my update, I'm sure I'll have more to report tomorrow.

I'm back in the game. I stayed up till after midnight and got the Inca version of my map and climates all back in order with the old icons. I will work most of Saturday on making some changes I had in mind and then creating the map for our Flower Wars mini-mod.
I am so happy I was able to get everything working again.

OK guys, the Flower Wars map is loaded. There are a few edits I need to make which hopefully wont take long. Took 5 hours to get the thing working and looking properly today. I'll update as I work.

I am pretty much done with the Flower Wars map. I have added the rivers and spent most of today editing the terrain to make sure it looks OK. I also took some time to edit the icons Mage made for us, where did that guy disappear to? as well as adding the Aztec Icon to the flags. Just something basic to be able to test better. I will load what I did to the mod email tonight or tomorrow so you guys can start playing. I still have to edit the files for the battle maps. But at least we'll make sure the strat map works for everyone.
Oh, and I still haven't figured out how to take screen shots with this mac keyboard when in Windows mode, so be patient.

Look we need to decide of icons, its sort of crazy that we have gone this long and haven't made that choice. Either way, I believe we still need icons. The only reason why I would suggest keeping Mages is that I have the original photoshop file which I have begun making campaign banners from. If I can get the same from Murf within the next two weeks i will make a decision based upon which look better.

Its fine to be open for a vote. But here's my input on the situation;
1: Mage's has all factions that we need to get the Mini-mod going. If Murf is willing to create a Tlaxcallan Icon soon, then fine.
2: If Murf is willing to make Mayan icon more clearly visible then great
3: Using Murf's we will also need him to design banner symbols. With Mages, I can easily pull the symbol layer off the master photoshop file and create a banner in about ten minutes.
Keep this in mind when deciding.

I'll do as you say Rah I will also do the new one, and make a banner for all of them.
