Hello! I posted a thread on the Total War Center forums about a potential Yucatan:TW for M2:TW I was referred here, understandably not for modding-resource collaboration, but as a place I could help and we could mutually share ideas. Yucatan: Total War will be just the Yucatan and have the timespan from the early Classic to the Spanish arrival, or so i have planned so far. Perhaps it will go only as far as the Itza invasion.... we'll see.... I am sure we both could mutually share a lot and discuss many ideas and plan many things out. Afterall I have Rome Total War but not Medieval Total War yet, the likelihood of me playing a Rome Total War mod vs. a M2:TW mod is higher (considering my budget). So if you guys would like me on the team I will help out in whatever ways I can. A little busy modding TES4:Oblivion but I'm sure I will have plenty of time to check on these forums at the least

Welcome to our little INCA site kukulza.
We could use someone who is familiar with that part of the world to help us out with faction traits and mercenary (or rebel) groups. Perhaps when I have completed the map for Inca I can give you an enlarged version of the Yucatan that we can then make more detailed.

that would be great. I'm no native of the region but I'm a great fan of Mayan history and culture... I am always trying to know more about them.... and their history. However, hopefully, as I gather a following in Total War Center I can draw upon others who may be able to fill gaps in our knowledge. I have the historical help of a Mexicano, big_feef, who has offered to help with information and history! ;D

Welcome! Glad to have you on the team! We have a native who knows a lot (Filibusteria), but the more we can learn on the region, the better. Vuk

Welcome aboard magestryn. We have plenty of 2D art that needs to be done so your help is appreciated. As for your question, I'll leave that to those in know, which, whether fortunately or not, I am not. Check out our Maya and conversation in the Maya thread

Hi, I'm a student in 3D Animation and VFX. I starting playing RTW a few weeks ago and loved the game. While looking for various mods, I saw a few screenshots of yours. I'm interested in seing more and I'm a bit curious about the mod itself.
I currently have free time so I'd like to get involved in some modding work to keep it up. I don't know if I can be of any help but I love ancient civilizations' history. I can model, map, texture and create 2D digital graphics. I don't know anything about RTW's utilities and plugins at all tho.

As far as 2D art goes I'll tell you what I think we need and Rex or Vuk can point you in the right direction.
User Interfaces, character portraits, Faction Icons for in game banners, clean up and fix some of the faction icons for loading screens, Unit cards, and building cards.
My personal recommendation would be to start with game faction banners. I would even go as far as to say, don't look at existing Loading Icons and lets see what you come up with. But that's just me.

First i will post some Maya buildings that i have in mind, i will do that in the Maya thread. Glad to see you onboard.

ok cool.. well let me know what you want drawn I think you could start by redisigning the banners. I have my reasons to ask that anyone who has questions about that can PM me and i will answer. Then you can draw the small icons for the buildings interface. Then, if our plan with the modelled heads fails you can do the portraits. And then we will make a stella in your honour

Welcome guys! Glad to have you onboard! Right now, we need (as Mel and Ram have said) faction banners and icons. I'm sure you've seen the ones we have, but we would also like to see what you can come up with. If you make all our 2-d art using one style, it doesn't make sense to keep another 2-d artist's style that will conflict with the rest of the art (for uniformity reasons ). Glad to have you onboard, Vuk

that is one reason and the other is copyright reasons. Since Murf isnt around anymore it would be unfair to use his work
