Rah, you have really carried the whole mod on your back these past months. What can i say man, if this gets released (which i recently doubt) you should get the most credit

No more doubting!!! And its a group effort, we all have our jobs. The map is mine.
Unfortunately, as I was tweeking some final aspects of the map last night the hard drive started making funny sounds. So, I think I need to back everything up (quick) which also means I'll just post what I have and we'll call it version 1.0.
I will also work all this week to try and post a regions map here with the different provinces numbered according to the chart above.
The most frustrating part is, I had just made a huge break through on the vegetation files, finally deciphering Muizers geography.db tutorial. Hopefully I'll have a new hard drive installed by the end of he week and then I can focus more on getting the strat map models working and the city models as well as some skinning.
This mod is not dead, its just going slow. We all have RL issues to deal with, its just a matter of continuing to make progress.
If you think about it, all we need are skins and we have a game. The traits and such, which are just as important, are what is going to make the game more complex. So, everyone, keep up the good work.

Do not doubt, mel. Doubting leads to failure.

Rah, the map is great... I like very much the way it looks, it is way more beautifull than the other RTW maps i`ve seen so farr.
About the skinner issue, i am very sure that we will find one... time will tell !

The thing is guys, i live in a hotel in Beijin now, until i get an appartment of my own, this week i hope. But before i really settle in, and that will be by the end of next month, i wont be able to do any buildings. The good thing is on the other hand, that many buildings of the southern factions are going to be shared between the factions so making a new building will be 5 times work. Its just that im not helping too much right now and i feel a little guilty, thats all.

Mel, you've already done so much work, its time for the rest of us to kick in as well. No worries mate, the mod will get done when it gets done. So long as we keep working on it, it will progress. If we stop working and despair, then it will never get done and then whose fault is that.
I'm getting a new hard drive this week and will post a usable map in the mod email then turn my attention to skinning to get us caught up there.

I must say it's a really nice work. The three cities you chose are clearly the most important, but I think the Province "Tairona" is better as "Magdalena" that fits with Cundinamarca and Boyaca, both modern names, and I think the could Tairona could have another city (Tairo) but I'm not sure... maybe is better a 3rd province for the Muisca but in that case the space covered by them could be very large... with Jamundi, I know the Calima inhabited the area around Cali, but they hadn't a city I know of. Maybe a "Tolima" province for the "Panche" rebels could be a better option, I would need some name for the settlement. Popayan was surely founded by the Spanish, we may chose another settlement to represent the peoples of that area.

Thanks perszeusz. Although, isn't Magdalena a Spanish name? That wouldn't really work. But, if you believe that there should be another city in the area, please by all means let me know and give me the relevant information I will need so I know where to place it.

I know those names must be avoided, but all those names are certainly Spanish, IIRC. In that case Magdalena fits better as a province name, its not certain how they called their lands, I'll try to be sure ANYWAY. About the Tairona settlement, as I said, it may be a city called "Tairo", but I don't know where it is, sorry I'll do my best to find a good map.

Cool, thanks. I know for a fact that Tayuna was the Tairona city we know as Cuidad Perdida. But if you can find a different name for the region that would be great. I simply named the region after the local natives.

Yes, Ciudad Perdida is known as Teyuna. it is unknown if they had a "most important city", but it was big, maybe able to house 3000-8000 inhabitants so it's the best option for a capital.

There was asmall sea side Tairona town I visited once. They took me over to an area where there was all these carved stones in the water and marching up onto the land in an orderly fashion. It seems they have been there for as long as anyone can remember and there is no records of any europeans living in the area. It is believed to have been a dock of some kind or a base for houses built in thr Carib fashion on the water. Perhaps we may want to add a port in the province of Tairona.
Also, if you do find a better province name than Tairona, let me know.

Affirmative, they sure had ports, and were highly advanced in land trade, sea trade and the Tairona and Muisca had agricultural methods as advanced as the Inca. Tairona province may have a port, a market and some kind of farm upgrade, in the Cundinamarca and Boyaca provinces we could replace the port for a mine.
