If you've looked through the files, you may have noticed that when editing things like factions, there is the reference name (something like "romans_julii") and then there is the name that appears on the screen (like "House of Julii"). Are we going to change every one of the reference names to our factions, or are we going to use, for example, the reference names of the selucids for the name appearing on the screen being "Inca"?
Either way, what faction is going to have what reference name?

I know from experience with EB that is simply far easier to use the reference names still and just have commented out lines that state in each section which faction you are looking at.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering. Using the default reference names would require less work, but we'd have to keep a list by us of which reference is which. We should probably use the already existing ones, but someone needs to tell me which will be which.

deciding on that has to do with cultural similarities. for example, you have three factions with very similar cultures so you use the three roman factions for them, and so on. I don't know much about the similarities/differences between our existing factions so I can't really speak to which should go with which. And they aren't that hard to remember, especially when you have the comment lines as sort of titles indicating which faction is which.
