Many tribes from pre-columbian south-America used to go to war caryyng theyr idols, named Huaca, or Whaca (a name wich means "holy" or "sacred", if i remember well").
Most of the time, the Huaca was a mummy of an ancestors, covered with clots, and puth on a high platform carried in battle by four priests.
In real history, the appearence of a Huaca on the battlefield strengthened significantly the morale of the army who owned it.
Meliritos, do you think we could insert such an unique unit (4 priests carrying a platform with a dead mummy ?) . We could script it to act the same as the roman legionary eagle... once lost, needs to be recovered !

of course i can model 4 priests carrying the huaca but it will definitely need new animations set. I believe that the roman legionary eagle is sth of a scripting thing, is it not? Or is it sth that is actually modelled ingame? If its only script then i believe we should change the roman eagle to the huaca and get done with it. But if the roman eagle appears on screen then i will model a huaca with 4 (or 2 i can make them one in front of the other carrying the huaca with two wooden sticks, one in each shoulder). You tell me and i will do it. I suggest the 2 guys thing, it will be less heavy on polys

Bys, Fil and I had a similar idea for the Idol. I was A single carrier protected by 60 heavy elite bodyguards. The Carrier gave the moral, i also acted as a standar.

Hey! That was only an idea, not a concept! anyway, i agree with the guy who said it should be carried by two men: one on the front and the other on the back.

we would need new skeletons and animations, but this would look awesome and would be a totally new thing to the modding community. I did this just now: If you wonder why the mummy has round body, its because the andean people mummified their people indian-sitted.

This is a great idea and will look amazing on the battle field. The trick is to make it look OK when the unit falls. Can it be done so that it doesn't look like the carriers are glued to the sled?

I can model it but i wont have time to do the animations. Can we apply the whole unit to existing skeletos?
