Look, debating over leadership is an exercise in futility in my opinion. While your arguing about it nothing productive is getting done. SSJ is working on the traits. I've spoken to him a few times about this and he seems to have a handle on what he wants. The map is done enough to load it into a demo-campaign in the order of the intro campaign in RTW. All I have to do is put the files in order once I but my omputer this weekend. (the new OS comes out friday, that's why I am waiting till then ) All the models are complete according to Mel so all we need is for someone to place them in the game with the un-finished skins. So what if they appear white in the game. Once each skin is complete it'll make it easier to swap them out. Mage has sort of disappeared, but I hope he returns so we can load him up with 2D art. He just needs to take it step by step. Making the files to concert all the icons in the game and then doing the various UI's. Ossy has been working on the buildings. We need him to complete one cultures building tree in the very least. This way we can possibly create a small demo-campaign before the end of the year. (I will talk more about this in another thread) I will start a new thread that I will doggedly keep from getting spammed in order to carry this out. Rah is right. We should put the units in the game, white or not, just to see if the animations work well and if the primary and secondary weapons are well attached to the units. I know fili sometime put units ingamke, maybe he can do that, while im modelling for Oscar (a kind of deal that i would model for him as long as he makes buildings for us) Its very important to upload all the units in game and have some battles between them. Who is going to do it guys?

Well, that's what the other thread I created is for. To see where everyone is at and then delegate the work out. Right now all I know is that Byz wants to code. We can see if he's up for it. But I know we have other coders as well and there is a bunch of coding that needs to be done so I want to give it a day or two to see who else replies for work.

Sorry mel, i cant put them ingame, my pc has a virus that wont let me play games. Dont wast posts telling me to get a good antivirus and stuff, because ive done that. You should shoot your PC. ;D lol, seriously, it is not an option, we need someone to assume some kind of leadership till Rex gets back. There is not a person here who would dispute Rex's position, but we need to do something till he is back. As for the units, yes they need to go into the game white! That is what I said from th begining. As the skins are finished, they will just be plugged in one at a time. Right now I am to busy to skin, but can still make portraits if you want. At least for this semester, that is the most I can do. Hopefully I will have a lighter load next semester (though I doubt it, as my major required my to already register for three level 400 courses. ). If (and I really hope it does) my course load is light enough, I can start skinning next semester, but it is NOT something we can count on. We need to get a skinner. Bolam, you stuff is good, but you gotta plug it in so we can see it in game. I really wish I had for time for Inca Total War, but I don't. Nonetheless, I am just as eager to see it completed. We are THIS close to the finish line. Let us not drop the ball. If it is ok with you guys, I will post at the Center. Vuk

What do you intend to post at the center? I think it will be best if we hammer out the details of getting the demo going then make the post. I believe we should post with a poster or graphic of sorts representing the mini-mod we plan on creating. I am still waiting for more feed back here before moving on.

A post honestly and openly explaining our temporary calm, and a plea to prospective skinners. I think it could help.

OK, Mel posted a hint that we are back on track, but a plea for skinners seems fine. I personally would just like to make a serious preview post followed shortly with a release. So, I would like to see the mini-mod we have agreed to, The Flower Wars, underway and organized before we make a public announcement. Fair enough?

I wasn't thinking of an announcement, just a sort of unofficial progress report to get people interested w/out actually saying anything. I am good at that. ;D

Guys, if you want my opinion, I think Rah should take the lead of this mod. He, IMO, has the most experience in the most needed fields of modding, and the will power and motivation to see this through. Rah, I can lend assistance to you, I have full confidence in you and relative experience in leading mods and modding.

Rep makes no difference really. I'm a moderator with less rep than he.

Its because I tend to get into debates and much of it is from the map screenies and Rama's Rambles I have posted.
